Mark your calendar and save the date! Saturday, February 1st, Nomi Gray will give a program on the history of the Elmwood School which was located on east Redlands Mesa. The school building was on the Register of Historic Places until a few years ago and was constructed with what was called "farmers Concrete". After the school closed, the building was used as a community center for a long time; hosting club meetings and dances. Nomi's program will be hosted by the Hotchkiss/Crawford Historical Society and held at the Museum, located at 2nd St & Hotchkiss Avenue, downtown. You can contact them at 872-3780 with questions but this should be of interest to all of us that live on the mesa. It's part of our history!
As the Owner & Publisher at Over The Hill Media,LLC and a Grange supporter, I was drafted to make sure that Redlands Rumours have the i's dotted and the t's crossed AND that they contain at least some modicum of local fact. I'll do my best ;)
