Mildred B. Hamilton died March 22, 2013, at her home on Redlands Mesa. She was 88.
She was born in Delta July 15, 1924, to John and Margaret (McPherson) Burritt. She attended West Redlands grade school and was in the last graduating class of Eckert High School in 1942. She received a business certificate from Barnes Business School in Grand Junction.
She married Ray Hamilton Jan. 7, 1944. They worked together on their Redlands Mesa farm. She was Delta County Treasurer for 20 years.
Mrs. Hamilton enjoyed oil and china painting, quilt making, gardening, collecting stamps and dishwares and exhibiting flowers at the Delta County Fair.
She is survived by a daughter, Janet Quinn; a grandson, Keenan Quinn; two brothers, John Burritt and wife Barbara, and Bob Burritt and wife Jeannie; a sister-in-law, Ann Burritt; and a daughter-in-law, Julie Hunter. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ray; a son, Dr. Richard Hamilton; a brother, Fred Burritt; and a sister, Donna Aamodt.
Burial will be March 27 at the Cedaredge Cemetery. A memorial service will be held for both Mrs. Hamilton and her son, Richard at 10 a.m., Saturday, March 30, at the Cedaredge Assembly of God.
